Goddess Temple of Venus Rising
Sisters have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a place to go to rejuvenate, rest and just be? Within the Goddess Temple there is space for just that, a room filled with low lighting, candles, a waterfall, and surrounded with all red fabrics.
What is a Red Tent? The Red Tent is reserved for women and girls, mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers. A place where we go and get nurtured and leave the stress of all of our daily chores behind. At the Temple's Red Tent events we do many things; chant sing, dance, drum, nap learn, paint, rejuvenate our souls and nurture each other. This is a place where there will be no judgment, just sisters embracing one another, telling our stories and learning from one another. We celebrate our young girls when they begin menstruation and adorn them with flowers. We also celebrate our new mothers and our wise women as they end their menstrual cycles.
This space is ready and waiting for all women in all cycles of their lives.
At every gathering we have light refreshments, finger foods, tea and water and ask for a $20 donation at the door. You can also bring a snack to share if you like.
The Red Tent is run solely on donations to the Goddess Temple of Venus Rising, we are a non profit 501c3 Organization. Furnishings, red fabrics, food, and presentations are all a part of your kind donations and help keep the Red Tent a functioning, safe place for women. No donation is to small or large and all are very appreciated by every woman and girl who enters the Red Tent.
